This plant as also known as Sea Pink,
it forms a cushion of fleshy dark green leaves which are long and narrow.
The flower head is 10-20cm long, round in shape and made up of lots of small
separate flowers. Occasionally you can get white or red flowers. This plant
is able to tolerate sea water and can be found in areas which are submerged
on the higher tides.
